Cleveland, Tenn. (Sept. 2025) — Legacy Senior Living is excited to welcome back Chris Beckham as Area Director of Sales and Marketing. Having formerly served as Legacy Village of Tifton’s Executive Director, Beckham is looking forward to his return to the senior living industry and will be overseeing the sales and marketing efforts for Legacy’s South Georgia communities in Moultrie, Tifton and Thomasville.
Originally from Boston, Georgia, Beckham earned a degree in English and Journalism at Valdosta State University. He began his career at the Tifton Gazette, but he found his way into radio and sales at WTIF Radio. Beckham’s career has since been marked by his love for public relations, whether it be through journalism or radio. His career path diverted when he took the position at Legacy Village of Tifton in 2020 as Executive Director.
In this position, he quickly found his love for seniors and was successful in growing occupancy to 95%. From there, Beckham worked as Public Relations Director at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, but when the Area Director of Sales and Marketing position at Legacy Senior Living became available, Beckham was eager to return to his passion of serving seniors.
“It is a joy and honor to have the opportunity to be a resource in providing a home for seniors. The care, services and programming that our Legacy communities provide are unparalleled. Our goal is to improve the lives of our residents every day while providing exceptional care in a homelike environment,” states Beckham. “My goal is simply to make sure we share that with as many people as possible.”
“Chris has always been part of the Legacy family, and we are thrilled to have him back. His heart for seniors and his commitment to excellence make him a true blessing to our South Georgia communities,” said Doug Veazey, COO of Legacy Senior Living.
Beckham and his wife, Mitzi, reside in Tifton, Georgia and have four sons: Chase, Jackson, Ethan and Owen. Beckham is a passionate high school and college football fan, and for the past 22 years, he has hosted a six-hour high school football radio show that broadcasts on several stations throughout South Georgia. When football is not occupying him, Beckham also enjoys reading and watching historical documentaries.
