March 31, 2026

Cleveland, Tenn. (March 2026) — Legacy Senior Living is pleased to announce the promotion of Blake Ray to Chief Operating Officer. Ray has been a fundamental part of the Legacy Senior Living family since 2015 and has served in a variety of roles throughout his tenure.

A native of Cleveland, Tennessee, Ray was a student-athlete at Lee University while double-majoring in Accounting and Psychology. He began his career with Legacy Senior Living as the Special Projects Coordinator at their home office in Cleveland. Ray later relocated to Renaissance Marquis in Rome, Georgia, where he served as Administrator in Training, spending 18 months gaining comprehensive knowledge of departmental functions and overall operations. Upon completion of the program, he was promoted to Executive Director where he successfully oversaw the operations of Renaissance Marquis’ 109-unit community and achieved outstanding results.

In 2018, Ray was promoted to Director of Asset Management for Legacy Senior Living. In this position, he played a key role in supporting new developments, coordinating community financing and assisting executive leadership with real estate and operational analysis. In 2021, he advanced to Vice President of Asset Management.

“Stepping into the role of COO is an incredible honor,” says Ray. “Every day, our team brings compassion, expertise, and a genuine commitment to the residents we serve, and I’m continually inspired by the meaningful work happening across our communities. I look forward to supporting our teams in new ways and strengthening the systems that help us create safe, vibrant, and dignified environments where residents can truly thrive,” Ray continued.

“Over the last 11 years, Blake has served Legacy with a unique passion and dedication. He has been instrumental in the company’s success and has truly earned this position. We are excited to see him continue to grow in this new role and help lead the company forward. His experience, compassion, and commitment to our team make him exceptionally well suited for this position,” said Bryan Cook, Co-Founder and President of Legacy Senior Living.

Ray and his wife, Kelli, and their three children currently live in Flowery Branch, Georgia. They attend Free Chapel Church in Gainesville. In his free time, Ray enjoys playing pickle ball with his wife, running in marathons and spending time with his family.
